Situated 625m above sea level this area enjoys a very frienly climate ranging from 30c during the month of July through to 5c during the month of January. Through Caravaca de la Cruz run two rivers known as the river Argos and the river Quipar which provide visual richness and general vitality to the surrounding areas.
Sice the beginning of the 19th Century this area has witnessed the use of its natural resources which often arise thanks to the fast Pine forest areas which are predominant here. For years the production of fruit vegetables and cereals along with cattle has been the favourable economic activities but now this area has become a thriving city with all the mod cons a large city would provide.
Nature Caravaca de la Cruz is situated 16Km from Caravaca de la Cruz close to Barranda and Archivel at the foot of a large nature reserve called Sierras de Cazorla. Access to Murcia is made easy thanks to the modern motorway that links the two cities via a mere 60 minute car ride.
